Mavs Still Fighting

The Mavs lose another close one, 102-99. They once again faltered down the stretch. In the final two minutes, Dirk is 0-2 and 0 points having missed a golden opportunity for a wide open 3 from the corner with 1:13 left.

Jet was 1-3 including two desperation 3's he shouldn't have taken as time expired.

Oh, and Kidd had a bad turnover on a possession that could've killed precious time and possibly put Dallas up by more than 1 point.

I believe that in Dallas, these last two games would've gone differently. The point of having home court advantage is to win those games where, there's a slight chance the home crowd give you that little extra and maybe a couple of hometown calls go you're way (like calling a foul when Hardin dribbled the ball off his foot).

I expect the Mavs, who are the defending NBA Champs and quite frankly, with or without Chandler, Berea, and Stevenson are still full of Championship swag. You see it in their game.

The last two were tough losses that should've been wins. But the fact is, Dallas is playing a type of basketball I haven't seen them play all season long. Its like the regular season was meaningless and now they are actually playing ball.

Don't count them out yet...I fully expect them to win game 3 and most likely even up the series before having to play in Oklahoma again. Besides...you never know which Westbrook you're gonna get!
